It could only happen at Blues,After getting to the ground at 3 am and looking at a very big queue my brother and myself did what people advised on this forum and went to the garrison lane office,Result only about 20 people in a queue. Fantastic we were informed on the office Blues web site (This one ) the office will open at eight. As the night went on a few more people came to join the queue and we had some great banter with some smashing people. As it got close to eight nothing,Nine came and went Nothing,Some people asked is it even going to open,In simple terms if it was not going to open just employ someone to write a little message along the lines THIS OFFICE NOT OPEN TODAY .Ok i know this would have took a long time to do and cost the club £1.99p to print but at least it would be thinking of the supporters for once. At around ten o'clock a few stewards who were very nice came out with red faces and told the now 300-500 that we would be taken for a tour of the ground (Free) to go and queue for another hour to then be led to join (4 at a time ) the main queue. The stewards were all fantastic people as were all the very pi**ed of fans. We were informed by the stewards the office WAS due to open but the staff didn't turn up for work,Would it have took long to put a couple of staff in the garrison office to keep everyone happy. I understand this is Birmingham City and after been a supporter for 45 years i know we NEVER get things right. Thank god it is only once in a blue moon we ever get to finals but it is a reason we can never be a BIG or well run club. If you were one of the first 50 in the garrison lane queue thanks for keeping cool and it was sort of fun. KRO

You know why Arsenal don’t have this problem, cus they have more than 30k season ticket holders and they are just all automatically guaranteed a ticket and takes away the need to sell to people with 1 stub, 2 stubs etc

Make of that what you will.

At least you got a ticket I would say. Would have been very easy for the club to turn around and say the office isn't open, the queue is over there.

Nowhere on the site did it say the Garrison Lane ticket office would open. Only on the forum.

Not true. They put their season ticket holders into a ballot because they didn't have enough to go around. A very large number of those who applied missed out. I know of an Arsenal season ticket holder who is desperately trying to get his hands on a ticket for the final but doesn't hold out much hope.

Not sure how many season ticket holders they have but if it is 31,000 or above then for sure they would not all get a ticket ,But im sure we will never have that sort of prob dow the blues.

Oh I agree - total shambles.

But good on the club for not just turning all the Garrison Lane folk away I think. It isn't easy selling 31,000 tickets with only 13,000 odd season ticket holders...

to be honest i was 5th in the queue at Garrison lane and was told by somebody inside the ground that the reason they didnt inform us was that they were trying to sort something out to keep us happy and unlike some in the main queue they did .
i was home by 11am a very happy bunny some who didnt wait with us like the rest must be regretting that decision **thumbup

the only reason they didnt open it was due to lack of staff so we were jusitfied in queuing there .but it was unforseen circumstances that created the problems .
but like you say fair play to the club for sorting something out :applause:

so how is this his fault he didnt tell the staff who never turned up for work to take a sicky

the club helped us at garrison lane because they knew it was their fault thats why they apologised to us :banghead:

but air play they sorted it to everybodies satisfaction

Oh dear, staff pulling sickies on a day like today? I suppose that's what you get when you employ such young girls, pay them peanuts then overwork them as they have been this week.
